3C series : Adiabatic Cooler - Axial
Benefits :
- No water spray in the air flow
- No water treatment
- Easy maintenance: full internal access through door
- Very low water consumption
- Cooling at lower temperature than dry bulb temperature
Characteristics :
- Heat transfer coils
As standard, the coils are made with copper tubes and aluminum baked Epoxy coated fins. Tubes are expanded through the fins for optimized mechanical resistance and heat transfer.
As an option, tubes can be in galvanised steel.
The "H" shaped coil allows full access inside the machine, makes direct maintenance to fans, motors, coil internal sides very easy, without any further access means and part disassembly.
- Pre cooling by evaporation
The evaporative surface is used to cool the air inlet before it comes in contact with the tube coils.
The pads on the two sides cover the whole section of air inlet flow. Down the pads, stainless steel collectors are used. The water distributions are located above the pads, outside the air flow.
The air cooling is on when the fluid to cool is warmer than requested. This wet / dry switch point is around 23 °C in continental climate, with a fluid cold temperature at 27 °C.
As an option, the water from the pads is collected and recirculated without bacteriological risk, and reduces drastically the water consumption when the unit is in wet mode.
- Axial fans
A motor(s) / fan(s) set located on the top of the unit induces the air through the pre cooling pads and the tube coils.
The axial fans are low speed design: this secures both high performance and low noise level. The fan/ motor coupling is direct, without any transmission maintenance.
As an option, efficient noise attenuators are available. The sound pressure is then reduced by up to 13 dBA.
- PLC computerised automaton
The PLC automaton controls fan speed and pre cooling water distribution
Therefore, the 3C unit is delivered totally plug and play.
