Environmental protection while maintenaing the sustainability of the system
Jacir has developped a range of cooling towers with a closed circuit without glycol and without the risk of damaging the exchanger in case of freezing: in case of a power cut, the water in the secondary circuit falls by gravity into the basin, allowing the exchanger plates and seals to expand in complete safety.
Although traditionally, a cooling tower has a closed circuit with glygol to protect the network or exchanger from freezing in all circumstances, the fact remains that glycol represents the following major drawbacks:
Cost,
Low exchange coefficient, thus upper investment,
Electric consumption increased to compensate for the decline of performance,
Pollution during the discharges of water with glycol,
Degradation in the time of the antifreeze efficiency.
